We are living in exciting times. Daily, nations are changing and people are experiencing freedom for the first time. Roger and Mary King have ministered in over 50 nations and have an on-going work in Asia. There is much work to be done, but the laborers are few. Cell groups, family groups, disciple groups, specialty groups, care groups … there are many names for the small group ministries prevalent in churches today. At SouthGate Church, we choose to use the term “Connect Groups.”
Any growing church faces the possibility of not being able to effectively serve those who meet for Sunday morning and Connect Group gatherings. As SouthGate Church grows, it is committed to the growing Connect Group emphasis so that everyone has the opportunity to grow in Christ through fellowship, serving, and using personal giftings.
SouthGate Church is committed to the welfare of our membership and realizes that the Connect Group initiative is critical in light of its ongoing growth. Everyone must be connected, and there is no better way than meeting in a Connect Group.
Children’s Ministries are also vitally important in SouthGate’s ministry emphasis, including our 91st Psalm Christian School, Pre K-12th Grade. Children’s programs offered at SouthGate are designed to significantly minister to the children of our community.
Our child-friendly Connect Groups have a separate ministry for children. The children’s portion of these groups are lead by youth volunteers. This provides youth an opportunity to learn the value of serving the needs of others.
We also have a Youth (7th-12th grade) Connect Group that meets Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and a College Age Connect Group (through age 25) that meets Saturday nights from 4-6 p.m. Read more about our Connet Groups below.
The women’s ministry at SouthGate is a vibrant group of women whose desire it is to see the power of God demonstrated through His people. Throughout the Biblical history, God has used women to reach and disciple thousands of people. It is no different here at SouthGate. God is using the women in this church to effectively minister to His people and the community through retreats, special services, social events, small group ministries, conferences, Bible studies, and inner city outreaches. We are convinced that God has placed a great responsibility on women to reach out and serve.

The Gatekeepers ministry of SouthGate Church is dedicated to helping men become the spiritual leaders God has called them to be… Men whose lives reflect the servant heart of Jesus Christ in their homes, the Church, and in the world.
We want to encourage men to grow in relationship with one another so they can help each other grow in their relationships with God and become spiritually mature, committed and effective disciples of Jesus Christ (Prov.27:17).
The Gatekeepers Ministry meets for Bible Studies, breakfasts, outings and annual retreats for the furtherance of God’s work in men’s lives.
Christian Adventures International is designed to connect people with the living God and success in life. Within reach of 1 billion souls, Kevin and Leslie McNulty are internationally positioned to conduct apostolic work of mass evangelism and discipleship on a global scale with special focus on the Eurasian frontier of Russia, Central Asia, South America, and Europe.
Kid’s Church meets during both of our Sunday morning worship services and is a fun-filled, exciting place where children can learn about Jesus and the importance of a personal relationship with Him. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 19:14 to “Let the little children come to me”, and we have created a great place where a child can come to Jesus and experience how much fun it is to be Christian.
We have several different classes that allow us to accommodate a variety of ages. Each of these classes meet during our main Sunday morning service.

Children of the Hour, Inc. is a non-profit organization and Christian mission that operates charities in India and the Philippines and has established orphanages and elementary schools in these countries. As head of Children of the Hour, “Reaching the forgotten little souls” is Missionary Darla Long’s one vision… to reach out to destitute children and give them the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
